  • Category A no exterior change

    There shall be no change in the exterior of the structure to indicate the home occupation use.

  • Category A no exterior storage

    Exterior storage of business-related equipment, trailers, materials, or merchandise is prohibited.

  • Category A no signs

    No signs shall be allowed.

  • No more than 500 square feet or 30%, whichever is greater, of the dwelling shall be used in connection with the operation of the home occupation.

  • Category B max two customers2 customers

    No more than two customers may be on the property at any one time.

  • Category B one employee allowed1 employee

    Only one employee, other than family members residing in the dwelling unit, shall be permitted at the dwelling unit for business purposes.

  • One sign not greater than four square feet shall be permitted in conjunction with operation of the use.

  • When the standards of Category A and Category B cannot be met, or the home occupation includes any of the following: Utilizes more than 500 square feet or more than 30% of the dwelling, whichever is greater. Utilizes exterior structures or open space for the occupation. Employees more than one employee, other than family members residing in the dwelling unit. Utilizes bulk storage. May have multiple customers on the property at a single point of time, such as, but not limited to, classes and events. Traffic generated matches that of businesses versus residential dwellings. Light, noise, and smells associated with business activity are more than those associated with day-to-day activities at a residence.
