Density bonus

  • Affordability duration for rental units55 years

    The continued affordability of all extremely low, very low and low-income rental units... for 55 years or a longer period of time.

The City shall grant one density bonus when a housing developer seeks and agrees to construct a housing development with five or more units... Ten percent of the total dwelling units of a housing development for lower-income households... Five percent for very low income... Upon the request of the developer, the City shall not require a vehicular parking ratio... that exceeds the following ratios: Zero to one bedrooms: one on-site parking space; Two to three bedrooms: two on-site parking spaces; Four or more bedrooms: two and one-half parking spaces.
