Lighting

  • Residency and ownership requirement

    Permittee must have his or her primary domicile in the town of Portola Valley and must own the premises.

  • Security requirements

    The permittee shall implement adequate security measures to prevent unauthorized access to the premises and to protect the health and safety of the public.

  • No cannabis may be grown within the minimum setback required for the zoning district.

  • Visibility requirement

    All commercial cannabis cultivation shall be conducted in a manner that prevents the plants from being visible from any public right-of-way or from any adjacent property.

  • Waste management

    All cannabis waste must be properly stored and secured to prevent access by the public.

  • Water supply

    Permittees must identify a water supply source adequate to meet all cultivation uses on a sustainable basis.

  • Parking requirement

    Adequate on-site parking and delivery drop off and pick up zones shall be provided.

Commercial cultivation of up to a maximum of twelve cannabis plants may be conducted subject to a cannabis permit only on residentially zoned lands. Personal cultivation allowed subject to limits. All premises shall be located a minimum of six hundred feet from any sensitive receptor.
