16.08.010 - Advisory agency.#
The commission is designated as the advisory agency referred to in the Subdivision Map Act of the state and is charged with the duty of making investigations and reports on the design and improvements of proposed subdivisions and is authorized to recommend to the city council that the council approve, conditionally approve, or disapprove tentative maps of subdivisions prepared and filed with the city according to the provisions of this title and the Subdivision Map Act. The city planner is designated as executive secretary to the advisory agency with the authority to receive preliminary and tentative maps of proposed subdivisions according to the Subdivision Map Act.

16.08.020 - Subdivision review board.#
There is established a subdivision review board consisting of the city manager, the director of public works, the city engineer, the city planner (or their representatives), and such other members as may be prescribed by the city manager. The subdivision review board shall have the powers and duties specified by the ordinance codified in this title and shall function in an advisory capacity to the planning commission and city council.
