Editor's note— Ord. No. 2017-062717-1, adopted July 11, 2017, repealed the former chapter 2A, §§ 2A-1—2A-44, and enacted a new chapter 2A as set out herein. The former chapter 2A pertained to similar subject matter and derived from Ord. No. 2005-09, adopted June 28, 2005.

Sec. 2A-1. - Procurement.#

The Virginia Public Procurement Act (Code of Virginia, § 2.2-4300 et seq.) and all future amendments thereto are hereby incorporated by reference pursuant to Code of Virginia, §§ 2.2-4302 (Implementation) and 1-220 (Local ordinances incorporating state law by reference). The city's procurement officer and his or her designees are hereby authorized to act hereunder.
