AA Aircraft Approach District

§ 20.1 Regulations in addition to other regulations.#

The aircraft approach district, when combined with any other district, shall further restrict the use and height of structures. These regulations are in addition to the regulations governing the height and use of structures set forth in the articles governing each district and to the allowable variations to the height regulations.§

§ 20.2 District area and measurement.#

The aircraft approach (AA) district shall measure 1,000 feet in width at the end of the runway and centered thereon, fanning out to a width of 4,000 feet at a distance of 10,000 feet from the end of the runway.

§ 20.3 Height regulations.#

Within the aircraft approach district, the maximum height of any building or structure shall not exceed one percent of its distance from the end of a runway. This height restriction shall apply within a distance of 5,000 feet of the end of the runway.§
